Position Overview
ENDICTUS is seeking a Strategic Communications Analyst to support a federal customer in the National Capital Region. This is an onsite position supporting communications planning, execution, governance, analysis, and continuous improvement for an enterprise communications and social media program.
The role extends beyond day-to-day content production and social media publishing. The successful candidate will contribute to communications strategy, program governance, performance analysis, executive communications, stakeholder coordination, process improvement, and crisis and special-event communications.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain integrated communications and social media strategies aligned with organizational mission priorities.
• Manage day-to-day social media operations, including content planning, development, coordination, publishing, engagement monitoring, and analytics.
• Analyze communication and social media performance, identify trends and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Develop executive-level reports, briefings, performance assessments, and communications products for senior leaders.
• Develop and maintain communications policies, governance processes, SOPs, editorial standards, brand guidance, approval workflows, and program documentation.
• Maintain communication calendars and coordinate messaging across organizational initiatives, campaigns, events, and operational activities.
• Develop workforce communications, articles, talking points, leadership messages, briefing materials, correspondence, and other communication products.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop accurate, timely, and mission-aligned communications.
• Support administration and effective use of social media management platforms, including workflows, publishing controls, permissions, analytics, and user access.
• Assess communications workflows and identify operational, technology, governance, or process gaps and recommend improvements.
• Design or improve intake, review, approval, and content-production workflows using collaboration and automation tools where appropriate.
• Maintain program continuity resources, playbooks, procedures, and other documentation supporting onboarding and knowledge transfer.
• Support special events, ceremonies, operational activities, exercises, and emerging communication requirements.
• Provide timely communications support during incidents or emergency situations, including occasional support outside normal business hours when required.
• Coordinate and review visual content, photography requests, graphics, and other communication assets as required.
• Ensure communication products comply with applicable federal plain-language, public affairs, operational security, and information-release requirements.
Requirements:Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in strategic communications, public affairs, digital communications, marketing communications, social media, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing communication strategies and integrated campaigns.
• Experience managing organizational social media channels and developing content across multiple platforms.
• Experience conducting performance analysis and translating communication or audience data into recommendations.
• Experience developing executive-level reports, briefings, correspondence, or other senior-leadership communication products.
• Experience coordinating communications across multiple stakeholders, teams, or subject matter experts.
• Strong professional writing, editing, and quality-control skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and recommend practical solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and related collaboration tools.
• Active Secret security clearance at time of hire.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite at designated Government facilities in the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting the Department of Defense or another federal agency.
• Experience developing communications policies, SOPs, governance frameworks, editorial standards, or program playbooks.
• Experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or comparable social media management platforms.
• Experience administering social media workflows, permissions, approvals, or user access.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow-automation capabilities.
• Experience supporting crisis, emergency, or incident communications.
• Experience supporting recruiting, workforce engagement, or public-outreach campaigns.
• Experience with digital asset management, brand standards, photography, or visual communications.
