The Junior Enterprise Architect supports the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function by maintaining the EA repository, enabling governance processes, and assisting senior architects in solution reviews, standards management, and architecture lifecycle activities. This role is ideal for someone early in their architecture career who is methodical, analytical, and eager to learn how enterprise architecture operates in a federated, multi-domain environment.Key Responsibilities
1. EA Repository Management (LeanIX)
• Maintain and update application, interface, and technology fact sheets.
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and alignment with EA modeling standards.
• Support lifecycle updates (Application and Technology Lifecycles).
• Assist with LeanIX workspace governance: tags, subscriptions, permissions, and visibility rules.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for EA governance forums.
2. EA & Solution Architecture Governance
• Support intake and triage of solution architecture requests.
• Coordinate Architecture Review Board (ARB) submissions.
• Track compliance with EA standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
• Document decisions, waivers, and architectural risks.
• Maintain the EA standards catalog and technology reference models.
3. Support for Solution Architects & Domain Architects
• Gather architectural inputs for projects.
• Maintain reusable templates and documentation standards.
• Participate in solution design workshops and capture architectural impacts.
• Assist in mapping business capabilities to applications and processes.
4. EA Processes & Lifecycle Management
• Support planning cycles (roadmaps, capability assessments).
• Maintain the application portfolio, including rationalization initiatives.
• Track technology obsolescence and coordinate remediation plans.
• Assist with integration catalog updates and interface lifecycle governance.
5. Reporting & Analytics
• Prepare EA metrics and KPIs.
• Build LeanIX reports for leadership, PMO, and domain teams.
• Support portfolio insights for investment planning.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Engineering
Experience
2–5 years of experience in one or more of:
- Software development (full-stack, backend, etc.)
- Systems engineering / infrastructure
- IT analysis / technical business analysis
- Exposure to enterprise-scale IT environments preferred
- Coursework, certification, or experience in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred)
Technical Knowledge:
- Architecture modeling tools exposure (preferred)
- Foundational understanding of Application architectures (e.g., microservices, APIs), Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), Data and integration concepts
- Familiarity with SDLC / Agile methodologies and basic system design principles
