THE ROLE
As Field Operations Coordinator, you keep the machine running. You’re the operational backbone for a lean field team — the person who makes sure the right tools are staged, every employee is trained and certified, and no one steps onto a jobsite without knowing how to do it safely. This role combines three functions — warehouse, training, and safety — into one. High ownership.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Inventory & materials — keeping stock accurate, deliveries verified, and jobs staged and ready to go
- Tools & equipment — quarterly asset checks, checkout/return process, repair-vs-replace decisions
- Fleet & vehicle support — inspections, preventive maintenance, DOT compliance, GPS/ELD recordkeeping
- Warehouse & facility — organized, clean, safe yard and shop every single day
- Skills testing — hands-on assessments for welding, fitting, and trade proficiency across the team
- Training programs — building and running training that closes gaps and prepares people for the next level
- Certifications — forklift, DOT/driver, OSHA — administered, documented, and renewed on time
- Safety — toolbox talks, PPE compliance, incident reporting, and a culture where unsafe means stopped
- Team guidance — no direct reports, but you set the standard for how this team operates
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, field operations, or a skilled trade environment
- Working knowledge of inventory systems — manual and computerized
- Hands-on familiarity with tool and equipment handling, basic vehicle maintenance, and DOT compliance
- Experience conducting or supporting training or skills assessments in a trade setting
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Background in welding, fitting, pipefitting, or a related trade a strong plus
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and field safety compliance
- Strong organizational skills — you manage multiple moving parts without dropping any
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership without being asked
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
