About the Role
The Systems Engineer will refine hardware, software, and controls based on meticulously tested performance data, ensuring the reliability of integrated components in EUV Tech tools. The role extends to collaborating cross-departmentally, creating essential system level documentation and requirements packages, and contributing to complex system engineering projects that demand expertise in electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms, and software design.
Reporting LineReports to: Vice President, Product Development
Your Role- Create system requirements documentation that will be used to drive the design and validation of new development projects.
- Install, troubleshoot, and test components and hardware.
- Refine hardware/software/controls based on tested performance.
- Test reliability of components and submodules integrated in EUV Tech tools. Generate documentation on the test results.
- Create test fixtures.
- Work cross-departmentally, potentially creating test fixtures for the Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software, Manufacturing, and R&D groups.
- Support tool/system engineering projects that have a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms, and software design, and understand the underlying system implications.
- Contribute to the system engineering specification within the field of one's expertise.
- Assist in creating the system engineering specification and write the portion of the system engineering specification pertaining to field of technical expertise.
- Perform and coordinate tests, and provide feedback on new designs and ongoing engineering improvements.
- Problem identification and troubleshooting of moderately difficult engineering problems in field of technical expertise, including serviceability and manufacturability.
- Create, edit, and review technical documentation including but not limited to: Process and instrumentation diagrams, IO matrix, electrical schematics, assembly drawings, control system documentation, interlock matrix's, and factory acceptance tests.
- Test and operate new tools in development as they progress through build and FAT cycles
- 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering / Physics / Instrumentation
- Ability to interpret schematics and proficiency in embedded hardware development
- Experience with mechanical, electrical of manufacturing design software, including extensive experience with complex parts and large assemblies
- Experience with revision control software (e.g., Enterprise PDM)
- Must be able to interact effectively with customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent technical, conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Applicants should thrive in a dynamic start-up environment
- Ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally for work
- Experience in leading system architecture development, preferred.
- Experience working with multi-axis robots and motion controls
- Semiconductor manufacturing industry experience
- Experience using JAMA or other system requirements software
- Experience with SolidWorks, Eagle or Cadence, Labview, Jama
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000-$150,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and EUV Tech's location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the respective role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by the following factors: job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
