Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Account Manager to lead integrated communications programs for healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, public policy and health-tech clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong healthcare industry knowledge, exceptional client management capabilities, established media relationships, and the ability to develop and execute strategic communications campaigns that deliver measurable business outcomes.
The role requires a strategic thinker who can act as a trusted advisor to clients while leading teams and driving excellence in campaign execution.

- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for healthcare and pharmaceutical accounts.
- Develop strategic communication plans aligned with client business objectives.
- Provide counsel on corporate reputation, thought leadership, product communications, disease awareness, policy advocacy, and crisis management.
- Understand the evolving healthcare ecosystem, including pharmaceutical regulations, patient advocacy, healthcare policy, and industry trends.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend communication opportunities.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
- Develop and execute communication campaigns across prescription medicines, OTC products, medical devices, diagnostics, biotechnology, hospitals, and health-tech sectors.
- Ensure all communication materials comply with industry and regulatory guidelines.
- Support product launches, disease awareness initiatives, medical congresses, expert engagement programs, and corporate communications activities.
- Track developments in healthcare policy, regulatory updates, and market trends that may impact clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare, pharmaceutical, business, policy, and mainstream media.
- Secure high-quality earned media coverage through proactive media engagement.
- Identify opportunities for executive profiling, expert commentary, and thought leadership.
- Support engagement with healthcare professionals, patient groups, industry associations, and key opinion leaders.
- Lead the development of:
- Press releases
- Media kits
- Thought leadership articles
- Executive speeches
- Opinion pieces
- White papers
- Corporate presentations
- Patient awareness content
- Social and digital communication assets
- Ensure all content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with healthcare communication standards.
- Manage and mentor Account Executives and Account Managers.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure seamless delivery of client programs.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance feedback, and development discussions.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
- Lead campaign planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Track KPIs and provide actionable reporting and insights to clients.
- Develop case studies and award submissions showcasing campaign success.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Healthcare Communications.
- Minimum 3–4 years managing healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital clients.
- Strong understanding of India's healthcare and pharmaceutical landscape.
- Proven experience managing multiple client accounts and leading teams.
- Experience working with multinational pharmaceutical companies.
- Exposure to healthcare policy, public affairs, patient advocacy, or medical communications.
- Existing relationships with healthcare and business media in India.
