Chef de secteur GMS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Chef de secteur GMS based in France.

This role is a field-based commercial position focused on driving visibility, performance, and growth within the retail distribution network across a defined geographic area in South-West France. You will act as the key ambassador of a premium wine portfolio, ensuring strong in-store execution and optimal product presentation in supermarkets and hypermarkets. Working closely with retail partners, you will be responsible for strengthening brand presence, activating promotional initiatives, and maximizing sales opportunities at store level. The position combines commercial development with hands-on execution, including merchandising, pricing alignment, and in-store animation activities. You will play a key role in bringing high-quality wine products closer to consumers through impactful retail experiences. This is a dynamic field role requiring autonomy, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for product promotion in the FMCG environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Ensure the execution and rollout of national and regional agreements across assigned retail stores.
  • Guarantee optimal product presence in shelves, including facings, pricing compliance, and visibility standards.
  • Drive sell-in and sell-out performance by implementing commercial and promotional strategies in-store.
  • Organize and execute in-store activations such as tastings, animations, and promotional events.
  • Set up and enhance secondary placements including endcaps and high-visibility displays.
  • Strengthen relationships with store managers and retail staff to support long-term commercial success.
  • Monitor market activity and competitor presence to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bac+2 or equivalent qualification in business, sales, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or account management within FMCG or retail distribution, ideally in the wine or beverage sector.
  • Strong commercial mindset with proven ability to develop in-store sales performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of customer relationship management.
  • Highly autonomous, organized, and comfortable managing a field-based territory.
  • Strong interest or knowledge of wine is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to execute promotional and merchandising activities effectively in retail environments.
  • Must be based within or near the assigned geographic area (South-West France).
