Job Summary:

The Vineyard Stays & Experience Host is a cross-functional hospitality role responsible for delivering seamless, elevated, and highly personalized guest experiences across both ONX Vineyard Stays (short term rentals) and Estate Vineyard Experiences (wine estate tours and tastings).

This role operates equally across two core areas:

  • Vineyard Stays & Estate Operations (50%)
  • Vineyard Experiences & Wine Hospitality (50%)

Designed for someone who doesn’t simply host guests, rather we are looking for someone who creates moments, tells stories, and elevates every detail. This individual serves as both a concierge-level host and an estate ambassador. From curating bespoke guest itineraries and orchestrating luxury stays to leading immersive vineyard tours and tastings, this role ensures every guest interaction reflects the highest standard of ONX hospitality.

The ideal candidate thrives in both guest-facing and operational environments, is energized by connecting with people, and brings a natural ability to anticipate needs, tell compelling stories, and create memorable, place-based experiences rooted in wine, land, and lifestyle.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Vineyard Stays Operations (approx. 50%)

  • Coordinate and execute daily operations of ONX Vineyard Stays properties with precision and attention to detail
  • Ensure all residences and guest spaces are impeccably prepared and consistently reflect luxury standards
  • Maintain awareness of guest profiles, VIP arrivals, celebrations, and special requests to personalize each stay
  • Manage reservations, booking systems, confirmations, and payments with accuracy and discretion
  • Support hands-on property readiness, including light staging, outdoor upkeep, and presentation

Vineyard Experience & Wine Hospitality (approx. 50%)

  • Conduct guided tours of the ONX Estate Vineyard, delivering engaging and informative experiences
  • Lead wine tastings, offering insights into wine characteristics, vineyard practices, and ONX philosophy
  • Share the ONX story through compelling storytelling, connecting guests to the land, farming, and wines
  • Host VIP guests, private groups, and curated estate experiences with confidence and personalization
  • Promote wine sales, experiences, and club memberships in a natural, relationship-driven manner
  • Execute additional experiences such as vineyard picnics, private tastings, and seasonal offerings
  • Adhere to established tour guidelines and service standards to ensure consistency and quality

Luxury Hospitality & Guest Experience

  • Deliver white-glove, anticipatory service across all guest touchpoints—from pre-arrival planning through post-visit follow-up
  • Serve as a primary concierge and host, crafting personalized itineraries including winery visits, dining, and local experiences
  • Create seamless arrival and departure experiences that feel warm, polished, and intentional
  • Build authentic relationships with guests to enhance loyalty, satisfaction, and repeat visitation
  • Handle all guest communication (phone, email, and in-person) with professionalism, warmth, and brand alignment

Estate Stewardship & Outdoor Engagement

  • Maintain a strong presence across the estate, ensuring all guest-facing environments reflect ONX’s luxury and agricultural standards
  • Assist with light landscaping, outdoor setup, and maintaining overall property aesthetics
  • Participate in basic animal care and farm-related tasks as part of the estate experience
  • Work comfortably outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a polished guest experience
  • Assist in maintaining Kawasaki Mules (utility vehicles), including refueling, cleaning, and monitoring tire pressure

Team Collaboration & Operational Support

  • Collaborate across departments to support tastings, events, and guest experiences
  • Adapt fluidly between Vineyard Stays and Vineyard Experiences based on business needs
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures for both hospitality and operational functions
  • Support guest follow-up and communication
  • Assist with marketing efforts (handwritten notes, invitations, local outreach)
  • Support inventory management for vineyard and tour operations
  • Uphold all safety protocols and ensure a secure and welcoming environment for guests
  • Serve as a positive ambassador for ONX Wines, upholding company values at all times

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Guests feel genuinely cared for, known, and impressed at every interaction
  • Experiences feel effortless, elevated, and highly personalized
  • The employee confidently moves between concierge, host, storyteller, and operator
  • Vineyard Stays and Experiences run seamlessly, even in dynamic conditions
  • The ONX story is consistently brought to life in a way that builds emotional connection and drives revenue
Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills:

Hospitality & Interpersonal Excellence

  • Naturally warm, engaging, and confident with a passion for creating meaningful guest experiences
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect authentically with a wide range of guests
  • Strong storytelling ability, bringing wine, land, and experiences to life

Wine, Vineyard & Local Knowledge

Requires knowledge of, or strong interest in learning:

  • Wine and tasting techniques
  • Vineyard practices and farming
  • ONX Wines and philosophy
  • Paso Robles wineries, restaurants, and local attractions

Operational & Administrative Capability

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working within reservation systems, email communication, and office tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and high standards

Physical & Environmental Requirements

About ONX Wines:

At ONX Wines & Vineyards, our ambition is clear: to craft wines we believe stand among the fi nest in the world, while honoring the soils, varieties, people, and histories that make them possible. Rooted in Paso Robles and guided by intention, our work begins with a shared conviction—first and foremost, we love great wine.

We believe greatness is never accidental. It is the result of deliberate design, disciplined craftsmanship, and a series of meticulous choices made with care and purpose. Every decision, from vineyard to bottle, reflects our commitment to the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Those standards begin in the vineyard. As a certified California Sustainable Vineyard, we are dedicated to responsible farming practices and a long-term relationship with the land. Stewardship is not a trend for us—it is a responsibility. We strive to leave our soils, ecosystems, and community stronger than we found them.

Our wines are complex by nature yet effortless in enjoyment. They create moments of simple pleasure while telling a deeper story—of rocks and dirt, vines and grapes, effort and artistry. They connect people to the agricultural foundations we respect and to the everyday wonder of the natural world.

ONX is built at the intersection of precision and possibility. Thoughtful farming. Intentional winemaking. Curiosity about what could happen when craft meets creativity. Rocks and dirt. Vines and grapes. Effort and art. What will happen?
