Overview
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Day shift coverage within operational window)
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires strong technical expertise across multiple mechanical systems and the ability to support critical building operations in a high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment
- Maintain and service air handling units (AHUs), rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, and associated components
- Troubleshoot and repair air compressors, pneumatic systems, chillers, and building automation systems (BAS)
- Support system performance optimization to ensure efficient and reliable facility operations
- Respond to service requests and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner
- Document work performed, parts used, and system conditions in maintenance logs or CMMS
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and facility procedures
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Valid CFC (Section 608 EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification) required
- Proven experience working as an HVAC Technician in commercial or industrial environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- Rooftop Units (RTUs)
- Split systems
- Air compressors
- Pneumatic controls
- Chiller systems
- Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests
Preferred Experience
- Experience with the following systems:
- Boilers
- Condensate return systems
- Circulation pumps
- Fire pumps
- Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP)
- Experience in large commercial or multi-site facilities environments
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work within a full-day operational window (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and facility compliance requirements
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to lift, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
