About the Role
The Adult Programs Coordinator develops, leads, and schedules all aspects of adult climbing programming, including group classes and private instruction. This role ensures that adult programming is engaging, inclusive, and aligned with Bouldering Project’s community and instructional standards. This position includes administrative responsibilities, program facilitation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, safety, and community alignment.
What You’ll Do
Job Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Design and maintain programming and curricula for adult climbing instruction
- Lead or shadow adult classes to assess curriculum and staff development needs
- Schedule and support 1:1 and small-group private climbing instruction
- Hire, train, and coach adult program staff and private instructors
- Maintain staff motivation, discipline, and consistent communication
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on outreach and promotion
- Set registration and satisfaction goals for adult programs
- Track program logistics, registration, and payment systems
- Ensure instructional equipment is clean, functioning, and ready for use
- Coordinate with operations and other departments on space and staffing needs
- Support incident reporting, safety reviews, and risk management protocols
- Occasionally serve as instructor or coach as needed

Required Qualifications
- Experience in climbing instruction or programming
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Leadership and staff development experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Passion for inclusive community-building
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior program coordination or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of CRM or class registration platforms
- Familiarity with adult learning principles or coaching methodologies

This role may require a flexible schedule, including availability during evenings, weekends, holidays, or outside standard business hours depending on programming and business needs.
