PURPOSE OF YOUR POSITION:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Physical Plant Services with planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department. In this role you will report directly to the Director of Physical Plant Services. The primary purpose of your position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility as may be directed by the Administrator or Director of Physical Plant Services, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. As the Physical Plant Assistant, you are responsible and accountable for carrying out your assigned duties and report directly to the Director of Physical Plant Services.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess as a minimum, a high school diploma.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in maintenance/plant related position preferred.
POSITION DETAILS:
- $32 per hour
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

- Meet the maintenance needs of the facility.
- Recognize hazards to residents or staff safety and take appropriate action to maintain safe environment according to facility policy and procedures.
- Organize and prioritize.
- Replace, repair and purchase items according to facility policy and procedure.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance program and document accurately.
- Maintain weather protection against cold, heat, fire and other hazards.
- Supervise outside contractors
