Job Description
As the Inventory Control, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials. You will implement inventory control best practices to minimize discrepancies and losses, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management within the organization.
This is a full-time, 1st shift position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm.
Responsibilities
Auditing and Reconciliation
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve variances in collaboration with relevant departments.
Ordering and Receiving
- Coordinate with the procurement team to place orders for materials and supplies.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Data Entry and Documentation
- Enter and update inventory data in the system.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of inventory transactions.
Collaboration
- Work closely with production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure seamless inventory processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address inventory-related issues.
Reporting
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, turnover, and other relevant metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory management or a related role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in inventory management are a plus.
- Ability to lift and move moderate loads during inventory audits.
