The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that the kitchen, restaurant, and staff areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety. Assisting in the completion of manual tasks as assigned by the kitchen management team.

What do we look for?

  • High School Diploma
  • Restaurant experience minimum two years
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to prevent and/or handle emergency situations
  • A cheerful, positive attitude when working with a variety of people, and being able to work well under pressure
  • Responsible, neat and clean in appearance
  • Strong communication skills with supervisors and team members
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

What will you work on?

  • Completes all assigned tasks in line with standards
  • Has a thorough understanding of and adhere to regulations, in particular relating to Fire, Hygiene and Health and Safety to ensure the efficient use of chemicals and if necessary, provide training on this topic
  • Reports for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform at all times
  • Ensures they are always adhering to all policies and operational procedures at all times
  • Undertakes all cleaning duties and any additional tasks, as directed by the kitchen management team
  • Stows away deliveries, discards all boxes and packaging and ensures food is labeled and rotated correctly
  • Ensures all duties are completed within required time frames
  • Complies with all the rules and regulations which are in place regarding food hygiene and health & safety practices
  • Ensures kitchen waste is disposed of in a responsible manner and in line with company policy and local council regulations
  • Cleans and washes pots & pans and other dishes in a careful manner to reduce breakages
  • Leaves the area clean, neat and tidy
