Cleaning Specialist at Pet and Home Care LLC – Frederick, Maryland

At The Green K9, by Pet and Home Care, our Cleaning Specialists play a critical role in ensuring our grooming, daycare, and retail spaces remain clean, welcoming, and safe for both pets and pet parents. This physically active position supports all departments by upholding exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean all store areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly.

• Clean and reset self-wash rooms after each use.

• Manage laundry responsibilities, including washing, drying, folding, and restocking towels, smocks, and pet bedding.

• Maintain waste collection areas and manage efficient waste removal.

• Restock and organize cleaning supplies.

• Perform regular deep cleaning tasks to maintain high facility standards.

• Promptly address pet messes both indoors and outdoors.

• Immediately report any maintenance needs to management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Genuine enjoyment of cleaning and pride in maintaining cleanliness.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high sanitation standards.

• Physical capability to lift at least 40 lbs and remain active throughout shifts.

• Clear communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

• Comfortable working around dogs

Compensation & Scheduling:

This position offers a starting pay rate of $16/hour with flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
