Compensation Range - $179,500 - $210,000

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Outside Sales Representative to develop sales strategies and attract new clients in the Manhattan Market. You will report directly to the VP of Sales and will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve the desired revenue growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the customer base in an assigned territory and increasing revenue by generating leads and qualifying prospects and negotiating with clients to secure new service contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement strategies to market Total Fire Protection's services
  • Uncovering clients’ needs to tailor and effectively convey solutions - including the aptitude and enthusiasm to understand key components of the Fire Life and Safety Industry.
  • Maintain our database of qualified prospects through cold calling, personal visits and networking within the CRM platform
  • Leverage the TFP brand to identify prospective clients and develop relationships and establish a strong network with new and existing customers for continued sales growth
  • Attend work functions, charity and industry events
  • Deliver an established number of proposals to clients monthly
  • Close business and provide after-sales reports to VP of Sales
  • Minimum 3 days of field sales activity required

Requirements:

  • The ability to create a positive buying experience; strong closing skills
  • The ability to detect specific client needs and clearly present key benefits of doing business with Total Fire Protection
  • In-depth knowledge of all company services and prior work in Fire and Life Safety Industry is highly preferred
  • Drive, persistence, and the ability to meet and exceed sales targets/goals
  • Ability to function independently in a team environment with little supervision
  • Must have a Professional Presentation
  • 5 years prior outside sales experience in Fire Life and Safety or closely related industry
  • An entrenched network of strong connections in key sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, education and commercial residential is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidential client information
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present to all prospect levels

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality client engagement
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the field of fire protection
  • Ability to travel as needed
