About This Position

Precision Security Team is a veteran-owned and operated company proudly serving northern Colorado and surrounding areas. Since our establishment in 2018, we have experienced remarkable growth, earning the trust of local government agencies, schools, critical infrastructure sites, event organizers, and more. Based in the region stretching from Denver, CO, to Cheyenne, WY, we are committed to excellence in security services.

We take pride in hiring veterans, former law enforcement personnel, and first responders and strongly encourage individuals with such backgrounds to apply. However, we are equally committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. Precision Security Team is an equal-opportunity employer, and all candidates are evaluated based on their qualifications, without discrimination or bias.

As an Armed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community.

Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team is entrusted with delivering an exceptional experience for our clients while safeguarding their interests. It is essential to uphold the company’s professional image at all times—whether interacting with clients, the public, or law enforcement.

As a member of our team, you are expected to embody and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct in all aspects of your work.

We are actively seeking to fill this position as soon as possible; however, our priority is finding the right candidate—not just the first available one. We are committed to hiring individuals who align with our standards, values, and expectations, and who are prepared to take on the responsibilities of this role with professionalism and dedication.

Your schedule would be 8:00 am-5:10 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 40.85 hours per week. Please do not apply if this schedule does not work with your availability.

Because of the significant time, training, and qualification we dedicate to preparing you for success in this role, we ask for a minimum commitment of six months. While you will not be entering into a written contract, accepting this position represents your commitment to remain in your role for at least that period. This timeframe ensures that the investment we make in your training, onboarding, and development is mutually beneficial, and that you have the opportunity to fully apply your skills in a meaningful way. To be considered for internal transfers or promotions, employees must first demonstrate consistent, satisfactory performance in their current role. This approach allows time to build essential skills, contribute to your team, and become familiar with our company culture before advancing.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to pass the Larimer County Sheriff's background check (which takes about 6-8 weeks), a 10 panel drug screen, and become certified to access the Colorado Justice information System.

  • No facial piercings.
  • Only natural hair colors.

What to Expect in Our Hiring Process: Our hiring process begins with a careful review of applications to identify candidates who align with our company's needs and values. If your application stands out, you will be contacted for an initial phone screening. Successful candidates will then be invited to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and key members of our leadership team.

Important Notes About the Application and Interview Process:

  • Screener questions are a critical part of the evaluation process. Responses will be scored based on completeness, clarity, proper grammar, and written communication.
  • Do not write “see resume,” “N/A,” or “can be discussed during the interview.” Incomplete or vague responses will result in automatic disqualification.
  • We are looking for thoughtful, well-written answers that provide specific examples and demonstrate your qualifications and critical thinking.

Use the S.T.A.R. Technique: During the interview, we encourage you to use the S.T.A.R. method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to answer behavioral questions. This approach helps you organize your thoughts and communicate your experience in a structured, impactful way—giving us the best view of your skills and how you’ve applied them in real-world situations.

Professional Appearance: First impressions matter. For in-person interviews, please arrive on time, well-groomed, and dressed in clean, professional attire. A polished appearance shows respect for the opportunity and our team.

Should you advance past the interview stage, a conditional job offer may be extended. Upon acceptance, we will initiate a background check and begin the online onboarding process.

A Note About Communication: We will carefully review your application and contact you if we believe you are a strong match for the position. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we kindly ask that you do not call to inquire about your application status.

Please note: Failure to follow this instruction may result in disqualification, as it reflects an inability to follow directions—something we consider an important part of the role.

If you do not hear from us, please do not be discouraged or take it personally. We are committed to giving each application thoughtful consideration and selecting candidates who align best with the role’s specific needs.

Should you advance past the interview stage, a conditional job offer may be extended. Upon acceptance, we will initiate a background check and begin the online onboarding process.

To ensure full consideration, applications must be submitted by October 27, 2025.

PST adheres to a hands-off approach whenever possible, prioritizing verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques. The only instance where physical intervention is appropriate is if an individual poses an immediate physical threat to themselves, others, or you. Acceptable physical intervention techniques will be taught during our mandatory Phase I training.
