About This Position
Position Description: Position Summary
The System Administrator oversees the agencys technology systems with the goal of streamlining technical support, improving system management, and creating operational efficiencies within the organization. This is a full-time position hired by and reports to the Chief Operations Officer and requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot technology systems, including computer hardware, software installations, VOIP phone system, and network infrastructure.
Prioritize and schedule the execution of multiple approved projects involving equipment, operational systems, and security systems.
Oversee network security and management, with an emphasis on training employees in best practices for cybersecurity.
Manage computer inventory, including the check-in/check-out process for student and staff laptops.
Develop and recommend IT policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, security, and compliance.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper safety behavior at all times.
Collaborate with leadership to establish goals, timelines, and priorities for IT improvements.
Serve as the lead contact for security systems, ensuring functionality and compliance.
Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors for large-scale projects and system implementations.
Perform additional duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
Active CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ Certification, or an industry-equivalent certification is preferred.
Minimum of three years of related experience in IT and systems administration.
Experience working in a nonprofit environment with diverse individuals and communities preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems.
Familiarity with virtual meeting applications and related technology platforms.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while exercising independent judgment.
Capacity to independently plan, schedule, and meet deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
Experience creating and assigning emails for new clients and employees.
Experience assigning or reassigning phone extensions and voicemail passcodes.
Experience serving as a Microsoft Office Account Administrator, including account creation, locking/deletion, password resets, email forwarding, Multifactor Authentication (MFA), and license management.
Supervisor: Chief Operations Officer
Status: Exempt
Schedule: Full-time, with scheduled hours Monday-Thursday 9 am - 6 pm and Friday 9 am - 2 pm. Some Evenings and Weekends required.
Location: The primary work location is the Restore Education Central Campus, with additional locations as assigned.
Note: Schedule and location(s) are subject to change.
Estimated Annual Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 and based on experience and education.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must possess a valid Class C Texas Drivers License or obtain a valid Class C Texas Drivers License within thirty (30) days after becoming a resident of the State of Texas.
Active CompTIA A+, Network+, OR Security+ Certification or an industry-equivalent certification preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical requirements include visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and walking to perform the essential functions.
