Construction Laborer at Sterling Construction Company, Inc. – San Antonio, Texas

• Clean work areas, tools, equipment, and materials
• Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies
• Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel using picks, rakes, and shovels
• Move between jobs as projects progress and work is available
• Work with other workers in a cooperative manner
• Perform general labor work
• Improve skill sets and work towards promotion to a skilled craft position
• Perform other duties as assigned

To be successful in this role, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required:

• Minimum of 1 year of construction work experience
• Reliable transportation to work
• Ability to work safely
• Ability to carry 70 lbs. or more
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Willingness to do general laborer work, such as sweeping, cleaning up job sites, running errands, using a hammer and saw, and digging trenches
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
