Harrisburg University invites applications for a Full-time Biology Faculty Professor

HU is seeking an experienced, dynamic educator and team player who can promote active-learning sessions and contribute to the collaborative spirit of the Integrative Sciences program. The Integrative Sciences program offers three concentrations: Biology, Biological Chemistry, and Chemistry. The new faculty member would contribute to teaching upper-level Biology courses (Genetics, Ecology, Evolution, Conservation Biology, and Animal Behavior) and other foundational Biology courses as needed to support Integrative Science students as well as students in other science programs such as Environmental Science, Forensic Science and Biotechnology. Faculty member would also be expected to actively participate in undergraduate research in the area of expertise.
Required:
· Ph.D. in Conservation Biology, Ecology, Genetics or a closely related field.· Two or more years of university-level experience teaching both lecture and lab courses supported by positive student evaluations (to be provided).· Proficient in the use of digital technology in education.· Experience working with diverse (e.g., learning, racial, cultural, religious) student populations.· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.· Availability to begin work December 2025-Jan 2026.
Preferred:· Experience teaching upper-level Biology undergraduate courses.· Experience supervising interdisciplinary undergraduate research.· Undergraduate academic advising and curriculum development experience.· Experience in LMS Canvas
