Behavioral Health Manager in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Director of Mental Wellness Institute with oversight of behavioral and mental health services. Manages the social workers, counselors, behavioral health consultants, and chemical dependency counselors. Provides care for the patients and services to other customers as appropriate. Facilitates the delivery of services, evaluates effectiveness and tracks outcomes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other behavioral health degree program preferred. Licensure per respective discipline in Texas required. Three years of clinical experience with at least two years in administrative program oversight with increasing level of responsibility is required. Familiarity and previous experience collaborating with community stakeholders and knowledge of behavioral health resources within Bexar County is highly desirable.

LICENSURE

Current licensure from the Texas Department of Human Services is required.
