Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Prepare, package and stock produce products for customers.
- Maintain product integrity in produce area, meeting or exceeding health department standards.
- Rotate inventory appropriately, FIFO.
- Answer customer's questions regarding products, policies and services that AVP provides.
- Maintain clean and orderly department, walk-in etc.
- Request information or assistance using the PA system.
- Follow produce rules and regulations.
- Help to resolve customer's complaints.
- Maintain proper communication with managers and fellow co-workers.
- Cross-train to floor sales and cashier.
- Must possess strong understanding of produce
- Mathematics skills
- Basic reading
- HAACP knowledge
- Food Safety knowledge
- Understanding of scale/weight
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to take direction
- Stand for several hours
- Walk
- Bend down
- Lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Perform various repetitive motions
