SUPERVISOR, ULTRASOUND: Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus at Southeastern Health – Lumberton, North Carolina

POSITION SUMMARY: Organizes and manages the Diagnostic Medical Sonography section of the Medical Imaging department, and supervises section personnel. As a working supervisor, routinely performs the duties of an Ultrasound Technologist.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Required:

Completion of formal program in Ultrasound and certified with ARRT or ARDMS

Thorough knowledge of ultrasound protocols, procedures, and techniques with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

Previous supervisory experience.

Demonstrated organizational and communications skills and leadership potential. BCLS certified.

Preferred: Above plus Associate Degree in ultrasound technology or radiography. Supervisory course work, training and experience.

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and technical practice relevant to neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
