Job Description
Provides front desk coverage to include greeting patients, registration, scheduling and answering phones. Verifies all insurance benefits prior to patient treatment. Bills and collects money through private pay, third party reimbursement and other insurance means. Posts charges and payments, maintains accurate records of accounting information, applies correct coding techniques. Serves as liaison between the practice, AnMed Health and/or other departments.
Qualifications: Requires HSD or GED and computer experience. Must have one (1) to two (2) years experience in computer billing, filing, typing, etc. Reimbursement of third party carriers and other insurance knowledge desired. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-9 coding.
