JOB SUMMARY
- The Patient Liaison assists Native Americans in navigating the medical system, then informs, counsels and helps their patients and their families understand the results. The liaison provides interpretation services as indicated to assure the patient understands his/her treatment plan. The Patient Liaison communicates daily with Choctaw Health Center to report the condition of each patient. The position requires good communication and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

Education/Regulatory Requirements:
- Licensed Social Worker or LPN

Skills:
- Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Ability to work with a professional medical staff.
- Good oral communication.
