Overview

The Rail Car Coordinator is a key operations link between the organization and the customer. The Rail Car Coordinator coordinates the customer’s train car planning efficiently and safely to achieve specific customer service and key company goals. This position will be required to work weekends and holidays.



Responsibilities

· Responsible for scheduling and coordinating the train planning activities of the terminal.

· Assist in managing messaging for overall operation

· Update customer on all situations that will affect service

· Ensure all equipment is moved in a timely manner as requested

· Communicate with the customer and managers as needed

· Ensure accuracy when making decisions for a change in train planning.

· Maintain accurate computer data entry

· Monitor all equipment throughout the day



Qualifications

· Ability to effectively communicate with management and customers

· Ability to navigate any applicable rail road web addresses

· Ability to work in a fast paced and always changing environment

· Ability to be self-motivated and work unsupervised

· Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

· Excellent interpersonal and organization skills

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· Experience with SAP software services preferred

· 1-3 Years transportation or similar experience preferred

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $35,360-$55,473
Pay Grade: 5
