Food Expeditor at ChefSuite – Richmond, Virginia

ChefSuite, a full-service commercial cooking facility with private kitchens rented by restauranteurs for the preparation of food for pick-up and delivery, seeks an organized and enthusiastic Part-Time Food Expeditor to join our team at our Richmond, Virginia facility to transfer orders from the kitchens to the Front of House (FOH) area and coordinating the hand-off to the customer or delivery driver.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

• Track the status of orders that are being prepared
• Ensure orders are cleanly packaged, free from mess, drippings, or excessive grease stains, and meet presentation standards before bringing them to the front of the house
• Ensure completed orders are properly stored at the front of the house until the customer or delivery driver arrives to pick up the order
• Greet and welcome guests as they enter the establishment with a warm and friendly demeanor
• Hand off completed orders to 3rd Party App delivery drivers (UberEats etc.) and customers
• Check-in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory
• Answer questions about the menu items and suggest additional items or upgrades to enhance the guest's experience and increase sales
• Maintain clear communication with the kitchen staff, relaying orders and special requests promptly
• Address guest concerns and issues with professionalism and courtesy, and seek assistance from management when necessary
• Communicate pertinent customer and driver feedback to management
• Provide technical support to customers using the ordering kiosk system
• Provide technical support to tenants
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility

Qualifications:

The Food Expeditor must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills and a general understanding of food delivery apps (GrubHub, DoorDash, etc.) are required.
