Operator - HMC-J in Jackson, Ohio at Holzer Health System

Works under the supervision of the Manager of Registration. Operates multiple position telephone console to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls that are not direct dialed from outside or inside the System. The position must also be able to look-up on computer, patient, and staff information. Responsible for hospital overhead paging, documentation, and paging of individuals through the paging system. Required to use two-way radios and emergency communications equipment. The communications center is responsible for coordinating all Codes and Disaster communications.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

• High School graduate or GED required

• No previous experience necessary

• Telephone operator or receptionist experience a definite advantage

• Professional demeanor, and basic computer skills required

• Up to six months on the job training
