About This Position
The physical therapist assistant is knowledgeable of the patient's home health care plan and delivers physical therapy interventions, treatments and education to the patient under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist. The PTA communicates patient status to the Physical Therapist and when appropriate communicates patient information to the Team Manager and/or other team members to ensure that appropriate medical care or care plan changes are appropriate and timely. Staff use our electronic health record system Netsmart, formerly Allscripts.
Minimum Qualifications: Licensed in the state of Rhode Island as a Physical Therapy Assistant Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association Valid drivers license. Automobile liability insurance for bodily injury in the amount of $100,000-$300,000.
