Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and possess a background in justice-related settings. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals through direct support and care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support and assistance to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and
well-being.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized treatment
plans.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and activities, offering guidance and support to clients.
• Document client progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational
policies and procedures.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation, as needed.
• Support clients in developing life skills, coping with strategies, and achieving their treatment
goals.
• Transport clients to and from day treatment services appointments and approved activities using
a company vehicle
• Transportation duties are an essential function of this role and must be performed in a safe,
professional, and client centered manner
• Conduct PHP groups on an as needed basis
• Collects, packages, and ships urinalysis specimens via FedEx in accordance with company policy
and applicable regulations.

Safe Driving & Vehicle Use Requirements
• Maintain a valid driver’s license at all times and meet company driving eligibility
standards
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company vehicle policies
• Operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner at all times
• Ensure client safety during transport, including appropriate supervision and seatbelt
use
• Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues according to company
policy
Driving Record & Accountability
• Employees are personally responsible for any trafic citations, tickets, fines, or violations
incurred while operating a company vehicle
• Serious or repeated driving violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including
termination
• Continued employment may be contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma (Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or
related field)
• Proven experience in crisis intervention and behavioral health settings
• Strong understanding of mental health counseling principles
• Knowledge and or Lived experience in Mental health or Substance use and effective mentoring
techniques (Preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
