Description:

New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Field Service Technician for a client located in Ghent, Kentucky to join our team. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week
Travel: Daily travel required

Summary:

Responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and/or construction equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing mechanical repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through professional service and communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose equipment issues by reading work orders and observing/listening to machines in operation
  • Provide repair solutions and estimates to meet customer specifications
  • Perform mechanical repairs after thorough inspection and analysis
  • Document repair details including model, serial number, and hour meter readings
  • Communicate repair needs and completed work with customers; obtain customer signatures
  • Inspect safety devices, guards, and bolts; make necessary adjustments
  • Lubricate moving parts and test repaired equipment for proper operation
  • Maintain a professional image and cleanliness of service van
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and service needs of service van with operations/service manager
  • Ensure safety for customers, company, and the public during service activities
  • Submit daily paperwork including work orders, fuel receipts, and invoices
  • Submit time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and discuss any needed repairs with customers
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum one year of related experience or training
  • Basic computer skills, including internet software
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Availability for overtime and occasional emergency service calls (evenings/weekends)
