The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Rehabilitation Aide prepares the treatment area and assists patients in preparation for and during treatment sessions under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. The Rehabilitation Aide maintains patient safety, transporting patients safely, with their medical records, equipment or devices as needed, to and from the parking lot or lobby.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • English fluency and possess good written and oral communication skills
  • Basic math and typing
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working with patients in a health care setting

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift working, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
  • Full-Time (FT)

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare patient areas and assist therapist with treatment
  • Transfer or assist to transfer patients to wheelchair or treatment table maintaining weight-bearing status and/or other patient safety precautions
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of all rehabilitation equipment, storage areas and designated environmental surfaces
  • Complete environmental testing and logs per policy or standards
  • Inventory medical/surgical supplies per established schedules and place orders for new inventory
  • Stock/shelve supplies and linen in designated storage treatment areas
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties related to patient care and department administration
  • Attend the reception area in the absence of the rehabilitation secretary or administrative assistant
  • Accurately perform a variety of clerical duties related to patient care and department administration that may include but are not limited to: scheduling, registration, billing reconciliation, data entry, insurance verification and securing signatures on Plans of Care
