What You’ll DoAs a Youth Education & Enrichment Specialist, you’ll bring learning to life through engaging activities that support:
- Academic success
- Character & Leadership
- Healthy lifestyles
- Social Recreation
- The Arts
You’ll create fun, supportive learning environments that spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help youth discover their strengths.
- Design and lead creative educational and enrichment activities for youth ages 7–18
- Support homework help, group projects, and hands-on learning experiences
- Facilitate High-Yield Learning Activities (HYLA) that are interactive and engaging
- Encourage positive school attendance, engagement, and academic confidence
- Track attendance and help implement strategies to keep youth connected and involved
- Build meaningful relationships and serve as a positive role model for Club members
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Able to pass background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening
- A passion for youth and a heart for service
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
- 675 total hours as a Reduced Half-Time AmeriCorps Member
- Service dates: September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026
- Includes direct service during after-school hours, no-school days, special events, and family engagement activities
- Participation in mandatory days of service and trainings

- Living allowance: $11,475 (paid bi-weekly)
- AmeriCorps Segal Education Award upon successful completion
