Job Overview:

RWJUH in Somerville, NJ is looking for a Per Diem Medical Technologist.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology or related sciences,
• Two to three years' clinical lab experience,

Preferred:

• ASCP Certification, or equivalent certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem,
• Evenings,
• Must work holiday and weekend rotations, as defined by section leadership,

Essential Functions:

• Assumes responsibility for the performance of routine, standardized biological and or biochemical tests, as well as more complex procedures on blood, urine, tissues, body fluids and other specimens that assist physicians in the diagnosis and clinical management of patients,
• Maintains equipment and performs minor troubleshooting, as necessary,
• Performs additional tasks as requested by Chairman of Pathology and or designee,
• Must demonstrate knowledge of specialized principles or techniques, which would normally be obtained through a formal four-year college or academic program,
