About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the highest quality guest service involved with all food service outlets within the casino.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions.
- Trains all new and existing front of the house employees in guest service and satisfaction
- Interfaces with kitchen staff on quality and production to include ticket times and presentation.
- Assures that proper sanitation procedures are implemented and carried out to state and local health standards.
- Ensures that all service standards and procedures are enforced.
- Assists management in seeking out ways to improve sales and profits.
- Assist in employee time management, documentation, scheduling, discipline and injury reports.
- Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
- Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
- Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
- Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Excellent time management, organizational, public relations and communications skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts efficiently and professionally.
- Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Must meet State Compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check, and submit to random drug testing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time.
- Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Education Required: High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED)
Education Preferred:
Experience: Six months to one year related experience
Computer Skills: Must have basic computer and point of sale skills
Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
