About This Position

The Construction Superintendent manages designated field activities associated with the project and supervises designated field construction work by subcontractors and employees. The Superintendent assists the project team to ensure the project is built on time, within budget, and in accordance with Willis Knighton Construction’s policies and procedures and the focus on our vision and purpose.

The Superintendent will be required to supervise construction activities, coordinate project activities, project objectives, policies, procedures, site mobilization activities and performance standards for work activities on a particular project. Coordinates, understands, and enforces subcontractor assignment and scope of work. Takes the lead on productivity issues and monitors work performance and productivity of company employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule.

What you'll be doing

  • Monitors and reports on productivity issues and work performance of subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule.
  • Ensure timely compliance with all internal and external document and record-keeping requirements, with particular emphasis on accurate daily reports/logs, as well as required legal, safety, environmental, and workforce documentation
  • Ensure construction activities are implemented, attend pre-construction meetings with all stakeholders, and guide project teams.
  • During the course of a project, they will be responsible for monitoring the project schedule, meeting all milestones and timelines. Monitor all work for adherence to plans, specifications, safety, and quality.
  • Ensure implementation of the safety program and daily safety inspections that create a safe and healthy work environment throughout the job site and adhere to OSHA safety and record-keeping requirements.
