SALARY: $95,000-$110,000 EXEMPT - DOE (education, credentials, how candidates meet or exceed the minimum and preferred experience requirements)

SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday-Friday during normal business hours, with ability to respond to crisis after-hours if needed

ABOUT IHHS
The Integrated Health and Human Services (IHHS) pillar at Chicanos Por La Causa encompasses our CARF accredited behavorial health and substance abuse programs - Corazón, Centro De La Familia, and Esperanza. We provide outpatient mental health, residential, case management, substance abuse and SMI services to children, adults and families. Our many bilingual and multi-cultural staff bring trauma-informed, inclusive, culturally competent services to the community, empowering people to build their better tomorrows.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Clinical Programs and Services, with clinical support from the Medical Director, you will be integral to the success of the pillar's goals and growth. As the Nurse Manager, you will oversee medical services for CPLC's IHHS Arizona programs. In addition to performing direct client services when needed, you will improve, build and assess the structure and flow of medical services at each location, working with executive leadership teams. This role requires the coordination of healthcare needs, access to care, development and implementation of healthcare protocols, and compliance with federal and state regulations as well as CARF standards. You will provide supervision to the nursing staff, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, supporting the integration of trauma-informed practices in all medical services.

SCOPE OF LEADERSHIP
You will lead a team of nurses and medical assistants, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment across IHHS clinics in Phoenix and Mesa. In addition to logistical oversight for scheduling, coverage, hiring, training, performance management and staffing plans, you will be able to create opportunities for development, learning and team culture, tying individual goals to the team goal.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Oversee and manage the day-to-day healthcare services provided in IHHS programs ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Ensure clinical documentation is completed according to company standards for services provided. Assist in client admission coordination and documentation to include medications as needed. Process all incoming medications to include medication log creation and bubble packing of medications. Coordinate client care including medication recommendations and ensure clients are receiving medical and/or other provider appointments as needed. Help clients in the self-administration of medications and monitoring of this process, as applicable, depending on program. Coordinate with staff regarding medical emergencies and medication concerns. Complete Incident Reporting procedures in compliance with company standards and best practices. Coordination and integration of care for clients with pharmacies, treatment providers, and other medical professionals. Actively participate in program activities to enhance client care to include wellness and health education, and medication education. Provide integrated health education including correlation between mental disorders and medical disorders, effects, and side effects of psychiatric medication, and other medical needs to enhance client health and wellbeing as needed. Travel between IHHS sites as needed.

  • You bring proven clinical leadership experience, grounded in your years of nursing, behavioral health, and supervisory work that allow you to confidently guide medical teams and uphold high standards of care.
  • You excel at system level thinking, traveling across campuses to understand each program’s needs and ensuring every location receives consistent medical support—from envisioning and standardizing med room setups to mapping workflows and staffing plans.
  • You excel in operational oversight, including medical equipment and tools, medication processes, standards for lab setup, materials disposal, medication handling, and documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • You are a successful relationship builder and communicator, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams as well as diverse, multicultural populations while modeling integrity, accuracy, and non-judgment.
  • You lead with adaptability, accountability, and follow through, staying calm under pressure, managing competing priorities, delegating appropriately and modeling trauma-informed care.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education/Background:

  • Associate’s degree in nursing required, Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
  • REQUIRED: Current license by the Arizona State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • At least 4 years of Nursing experience preferred
  • At least 2 years Behavioral Health experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in nursing and/or behavioral health preferred

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience and commitment to working with multiethnic, multicultural, low-income populations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, especially Microsoft teams).
  • Proven supervisory and effective leadership skills.
  • Excellent documentation and clinical skills.
  • Proven ability to follow-up and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent initiative, flexibility, and stress-management in handling the demands of leadership.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate in order to balance the many responsibilities, and address the various issues, that a leader faces during the workday.

TRAVEL: Travel between locations required. Other travel may vary.
