About This Position

Clinic Operations Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager assists in managing the operations of an area, department or health center site. This includes oversight of the staff, health information, front desk, scheduling, registration, patient care and clinical support functions. Assists in training new and existing staff on procedures. Responsible for performing Human Resources duties, reviewing and approving payroll for supervised staff and oversight of day to day operations. Reports concerns or problems within the facility and works to resolve them.

Completes additional tasks and projects as assigned following Access Health Louisiana protocols and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in health care administration, public health, business administration, or related degree required.

Experience

  1. Five (5) years of healthcare management experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  2. Experience in healthcare management and/or healthcare administration required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
  2. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Strong analytical skills.
  3. Ability to maintain highest level of discretion and confidentiality in maintaining patient and employee confidentiality.
  4. Ability to maintain courteous and customer-oriented demeanor in a crisis situation and acts responsibly to resolve or defuse the situation.
  5. Ability to assist patients and staff with requests.
  6. Ability to prioritize and delegate job assignments.
  7. Ability to adapt well to change.
  8. Handles a multitude of tasks simultaneously.
  9. Resolves stressful situations.
  10. Communicates courteously and professionally with patients, physicians, and other staff in verbal and written form.
  11. Promotes good work relationships with staff.
  12. Maintains professional composure in stressful or emergency situations.
