Job Description
Summary/Objectives
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform (or demonstrate a positive performance trend) all key accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Align with Wardcraft's Culture and Values.
2. Capable of all mechanical project engineer key accountabilities.
3. Develop and design products within the full array of Wardcraft offerings. Capable of meeting customer requirements and industry standards using existing, modified and/or new designs.
4. Provide technical support to the manufacturing floor as necessary to support our product and assure specifications are being followed.
5. Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing involving applications, product capability and limitations.
6. Review customer specifications and drawings to define detailed design requirements necessary to manufacture the product. Work with customer and Sales to resolve differences.
7. Prepare, review, and approve the documentation required to define and control the products. The documents include, but are not limited to, drawings, BOM's, test reports and other technical documents needed for proper product operation.
8. Participate in multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams.
9. All other duties as assigned.

Preferred/Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or two to four years' experience in the machine design industry.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM, GD&T, machining, and material science.
Experience with computer programs such as: Word, Excel, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Project.
Knowledge of basic tooling/fixturing design.
Knowledge and application of product lines that Wardcraft provides.
Part Handling, Machine Design and Knowledge & Application of cold forming processes (pressing, riveting, etc.)

Develop and design new products or modify and improve existing products for multiple product lines. Ensure products meet the customer's expectations and any applicable industry standards. Provide technical assistance to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to the product.
