Position Purpose: Responsible for the administrative and clinical management of Maternal and Child services.
- Manages the overall clinical operations of her/his assigned areas, including but not limited to: maintaining policies; assessing competencies; procuring equipment; monitoring quality and establishing improvement plans based on current best practice.
- Manages the overall fiscal operations of her/his assigned areas including operations and capital budget, staffing patterns, scheduling and attendance, and agency/registry use.
- Builds a cohesive patient care team, including the development of appropriate clinical, administrative and support staffing patterns; recruitment; selection; orientation/mentoring; and team-building.
- Assures continued improvement in patient satisfaction both by monitoring survey results and by one-on-one interviews with patients.
- Mentors and support staff as evidenced by: meeting minutes, staff satisfaction scores, retention/vacancy data and statistics on completion of certificates and degrees within the staff.
- Creates a collegial atmosphere between physicians and nursing staff by supporting healthy educational dialogue regarding clinical issues, such as new procedures and patient populations.
- Acts as a leader within Saint Anthony's based on participation in key committees that support patient care and human resources.
- Collaborates with other nursing leaders through active participation in at least one outside committee.
Requirements:
Education - Master’s Degree Preferred
Experience- 3 to 5 years’ experience
License / Certification - RN License, Basic Life Support (BCLS)
