Precision Security Team is a veteran owned and operated company in the northern Colorado area. We service areas from Denver, CO to Cheyenne, WY. In operation since 2018, we have grown exponentially, being entrusted with many local government contracts, other critical sites, schools, patrol, events, etc. We pride ourselves with hiring veterans, previous law enforcement, and first responders. As an Armed Security Officer with Precision Security Team, you will assist with all security-related concerns and other requests as needed to ensure a safe environment for the public at your assigned site. Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team owns the client's experience and their bottom line. It is of the utmost importance to uphold Precision Security Team's professional image to the client, the public, and law enforcement at all times. It is imperative that you practice and demonstrate Precision Security Team's core values and code of conduct everyday.
Your schedule would be 7:15 am-3:45 pm for a total of 40 hours per week. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.
Our office is located in Fort Collins. Candidates must be willing to travel to Fort Collins for an interview and at least 80 hours worth of training.
5 Critical Roles of the Position:
- Liaison Between Client Points of Contact (POCs) and Management: Act as the primary communication channel between school administrators, client representatives, and the security team. Ensure that all client needs and concerns are addressed promptly while maintaining alignment with company policies and procedures. Facilitate meetings and discussions to ensure a clear understanding of security requirements and goals.
- On-Site Quality Checks and Audits: Perform regular on-site evaluations to ensure that security officers adhere to company standards and client expectations. Conduct audits of procedures, equipment, and performance, providing detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement to maintain high standards of safety and professionalism.
- Site Coverage and Flexibility: Expect to work 20+ hours per week across various client sites ranging from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs. This includes responding to immediate security needs, covering shifts when required, and ensuring consistent coverage and supervision at multiple locations.
- Coordination and Dissemination of Safety and Security Intelligence: Gather, analyze, and communicate relevant security intelligence to on-site guards. Ensure that all security officers are aware of potential risks and updates, fostering a proactive and informed security team. Provide clear directives and guidance to ensure consistent safety measures across all sites.
- Support Training Initiatives: Assist in conducting comprehensive training programs for security officers, both on-site and off-site. Topics may include emergency response procedures, threat assessment, de-escalation techniques, and proper use of equipment. Ensure that all officers are well-prepared to handle diverse situations and maintain a high level of readiness.
Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Professional Firearms Experience: Demonstrated experience in the safe handling and operation of firearms, including proficiency in marksmanship, safety protocols, and weapon retention. Experience should reflect training or previous roles where the responsible use of firearms was required, such as law enforcement, military service, or certified security positions.
- Adherence to Professional Grooming Standards: Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times, in accordance with company guidelines. This includes proper uniform wear, grooming, and presentation to reflect a high standard of professionalism when interacting with clients, school staff, and students.
- Successful Completion of a Comprehensive Background Check: Must pass an extensive background check that includes criminal history, employment verification, and reference checks. This process is essential to ensure a safe and trustworthy environment within school settings.
- Pass a Psychological Examination: Completion of a psychological evaluation is required to assess suitability for handling high-stress situations, critical decision-making under pressure, and overall mental fitness for the role of armed security within a school environment.
- Completion of a School Security Officer Academy: Must successfully complete a certified School Security Officer Academy, which includes training in emergency response, de-escalation techniques, and school-specific safety protocols. This training ensures a deep understanding of the unique security needs within educational settings.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with a Clean Driving Record: Possession of a valid Colorado driver's license is required, along with a clean driving record free from major violations. This ensures safe travel between various school sites from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs.
- Ability to Obtain Greeley and Colorado Springs Security Guard Licenses: Must be eligible and able to acquire necessary security guard licenses for both Greeley and Colorado Springs. This includes meeting local regulations and completing any required training or testing to fulfill licensure requirements.

Pay: This position pays $30.00-$32.00/hour. This is a W2 position. Employees who work 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits. Colorado is an at-will employment state.
Hiring Process: Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes to identify candidates who align well with our company's needs. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role.
