EKG/Cardiopulmonary Technician at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: Initiates and performs to completion diagnostic tests ordered physician including EKG, Holter, and event monitors. This position requires knowledge of cleaning and storing Respiratory Therapy equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Basic Rhythm Interpretation course within 6 months.
• Knowledge of Electrocardiograms (EKG).
• Demonstrated ability to be self directed and highly motivated.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Must possess excellent collaboration skills with interdisciplinary team members to reach department goals.

PREFERRED:

• Completion of 12 Lead Basic Course
• Health Unit Coordinator Certification
• CMA
• Experience with Performing and Interpreting EKGs.
