Our physicians and staff work together to ensure that patients receive complete orthopedic care for problems of the bones, joints and muscles. SOI physicians are board certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. The team is composed of a Shoulder Specialist, Hand Specialist , Foot and Ankle Specialist, and two Physicians with 55 combined years of Hip and Knee Procedures. SOI Physicians are known regionally and throughout the world as leaders in their fields. They lecture frequently, train others and develop new surgical techniques and many of the breakthrough hardware used in today’s surgeries.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and validating patient insurance information to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits prior to treatment
  • Communicate with insurance providers to obtain and confirm patient insurance information
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient insurance information
  • Collaborate with the billing and front office team to ensure accurate timely insurance claims processing
  • Respond to inquiries from team members, patients and insurance providers regarding insurance coverage and claims
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with patient insurance information
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and insurance providers
  • Continuously stay informed of changes in insurance policies and regulations
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or vocational training preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or insurance-related field
  • Proficient in using medical billing and insurance verification software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, insurance providers, and internal teams
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance industry regulations and policies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
