COMMUNITY EDUCATOR (RN) at CalvertHealth – Prince Frederick, Maryland

Provides wellness educational and special programs that require the expertise of a registered nurse.

Position requires a bachelors degree in nursing or other health care related field. Masters preferred.

RN - Registered Nurse Certification; Unexpired Maryland State licensure

Unexpired, unsuspended driver’s license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.

Position requires 3-5 years experience in the healthcare field. Minimum two (2) years teaching experience, to include curriculum development, coordination, and evaluation; and health ministry and community health work, preferred.

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.

Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.

Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements including Microsoft Office Products—Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.

May require the ability to drive as part of routine job duties.

Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.
