Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for making daily assessments of the produce department's ability to meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, food safety and regulatory compliance. Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the produce department.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Provide Excellent Guest Service

• Responsible for the coaching, training, and development of teammates and associates.

• Conduct daily/weekly orders of merchandise and products. Ensure proper storage, staging, and organization in storage coolers.

• Organize and account for product invoices to ensure purchasing habits are controlled and profitable.

• Assist with conducting monthly inventories accurately to measure from period to period the profitability forecast of the department.

• Ensure quality of product are to company standards and food code requirements.

• Assist guests with finding products and answering their questions quickly, professionally, and with respect.

• Assist with planning and set-up of events that drive traffic to the department.

• Write weekly team schedules in the absence of the department leader.

• Managing the replenishment process to ensure quality and fresh standards are timely, appropriate, and are done in a fashion that reduces the risk of shrink (loss).

• Ensuring proper logs, reports, and tracking are performed according to company standards.

• Follow all safety and sanitation standards set by the company and food code.

Qualifications/Skills:

Must be 18 years or older.

Honest, team-oriented person who has a good work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

Lift 60 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds regularly.

Stand for the duration of the work shift.

Reaching and pulling merchandise regularly.

Cooler is 35 degrees Fahrenheit, will work in occasionally.
