Position Purpose:
- To provide supervisory and operational services for the safe and proper administration of the appropriate diet to all patients.
Essential Functions:
- Checks patient trays, observing food quality, temperature, portion size, and adherence to the menu.
- Supervise all food service areas, including cash count/balance, register closing and general sanitation.
- Prepares production sheets for cooks and cold production.
- Writes out charges for enteral supplements and submits these to the pharmacy.
- Provides staff education for food service personnel.
- Maintains department records, reports, and files as requested.
General Job requirements:
- Associate Degree in Dietetics preferred
- Ability to speak and write English
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to nutrition
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
- Previous nutritional or dietary experience.
