We are currently seeking Burners/Cutters to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Burner, you will play a key role in preparing steel castings by cutting excess material using torches and other equipment. You'll work in a supportive team environment that values quality and safety.

Shift: Must be able to work any shift
What You’ll Do:
Position steel castings using overhead cranes or hoists
Visually inspect castings to determine areas requiring burning or cutting
Operate oxy-fuel torches and other cutting tools to remove risers, gates, and excess metal from castings
Ensure cut surfaces meet dimensional and quality standards
Use gauges and measuring tools to verify cut locations and tolerances
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other related duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:
- Experience operating oxy-acetylene or oxy-fuel cutting torches and basic hand tools
- Understanding of casting types and cutting requirements
Ability to read work instructions and perform visual inspections
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Must be able to work any shift
Reliable and regular attendance is essential
Team player with strong communication skills
Previous experience in a foundry or heavy industrial environment is a plus
Environment includes foundry, warehouse, and production areas
May be required to work beyond normal hours, including weekends/holidays
Exposure to high temperatures, sparks, fumes, and loud noise typical of a foundry
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection required
Follow all safety procedures and protocols
Wear required PPE at all times in designated areas
Participate in safety meetings and initiatives
Actively contribute to a safe work environment by reporting hazards and promoting safety culture
