This is an hourly, temp-to-hire position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. As an Emergency Evacuation System Tester, you will be responsible for executing all tasks outlined in each work package. The role is mechanically intensive and physically demanding, requiring consistent hands-on engagement with equipment, components, and systems. You’ll be expected to perform tasks that involve lifting, assembling, and operating machinery in a production-focused environment. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking paperwork and confirming units’ information from customer P.O.
- Disassembling units in accordance with components maintenance manual original equipment manufacturer
- Conducting functional tests on units
- Over pressuring the units in accordance with original equipment manufacturer
- Conducting pressure release valve tests
- Placing units on stabilization / air retention tests
- Removing the hose and cylinders from units
- Sending hoses to valve shop to perform hydro tests
- Checking the air pressure of units
- Conducting light tests
- Checking test work record forms are signed for Technician and Inspectors
- Archiving test work record forms and filling out log book
- Other duties may be assigned depending on department needs
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Experience with hand tools
- Aviation experience a plus
