Overview
Prepares budgets based upon actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenues, estimated expense reports/Pos and other factors. Reviews revenues/expenditures for conformance with policies and budgetary limitations. Provides guidance or interprets budget/operational policies and procedures. Audits various revenue and expense accounts and maintains records of actual operating figures.
Responsibilities
Budget Development & Management
- Prepare, administer, maintain, and monitor budgets for Getty Digital’s programmatic, operational, and project portfolios.
- Develop annual budgets based on historical performance, planned initiatives, and projected revenues and expenses.
- Lead quarterly forecasting processes; analyze variances and provide clear explanations to leadership.
- Ensure budgets comply with policies, governance standards, and institutional financial requirements.
- Track discretionary and project-based funding from multiple sources and recommend strategies for optimization
Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
- Assess, document, and improve Getty Digital’s financial workflows, including procurement, contracting, staffing, and budget reconciliation processes.
- Recommend and implement process upgrades leveraging technology to increase accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
- Serve as an internal advisor on establishing consistent financial practices, templates, reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Build training resources and improve staff understanding of budgeting tools and policies.
Financial Analysis & Data Visualization
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Analyze complex financial datasets using advanced spreadsheet capabilities, database queries, BI tools, and automation.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses, scenario modeling, and identify opportunities for increased fiscal efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Accounting, Payroll, and HR to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Partner with project managers to review budgets, monitor progress, reconcile discrepancies, and plan resource needs.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues regarding financial procedures and systems.
Compliance, Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearend reports.
- Review and approve financial transactions for compliance.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, Master's Degree a plus
- 7-10 years experience in financial analysis and accounting
