Position SummaryThe Parts Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting efficient warehouse operations through accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of parts. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely delivery of parts to internal departments and external customers while maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, stock, organize, and distribute parts within the warehouse
- Read work orders or receive verbal instructions to determine materials needed
- Pick, pack, and stage parts accurately for internal and external orders
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation
- Move freight and materials manually or using material-handling equipment
- Sort and prepare cargo for loading and unloading
- Perform parts deliveries as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or parts environment (preferred)
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or automotive technology (a plus)
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
Skills & Abilities
- Basic computer skills, including inventory or ERP systems
- Knowledge of automotive or industrial parts preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Customer-service mindset when interacting with technicians or walk-in customers
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, bending, standing, and walking
- Warehouse environment with temperature variations and moderate noise levels
- Use of safety equipment such as steel-toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses may be required
- Overtime or adjusted hours may be required based on business needs
