About This Position
HRP Associates, Inc., a multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a mid-senior level Environmental Consultant with direct experience in Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) sites. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take on technical leadership responsibilities. You will support and manage complex environmental investigation and remediation projects, working closely with clients, regulators, and internal project teams.
This is an immediate, full-time opportunity based in our Plymouth, MA office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support environmental investigation and remediation projects with a strong focus on MGP sites
- Develop and implement site investigation strategies, sampling plans, and remedial approaches
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, proposals, and regulatory submittals
- Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and field staff
- Conduct fieldwork as needed, including oversight of drilling, sampling, and remediation activities
- Serve as a technical resource for junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing
- Maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field
- Direct experience working on Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) sites is required
- 5 to 10+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience
- Strong understanding of site investigation methods, remediation technologies, and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets, and client expectations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Professional licensure (PE, PG, LSP, LEP, etc.) is a plus but not required
