About This Position

Thompson Fabrication is growing organically and through acquisitions. Our team is seeking a results-driven and highly motivated Sales Representative of Capital Equipment to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new leads, building and maintaining customer relationships, and exceeding sales goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of our company while developing your sales skills in a supportive and competitive environment. The ideal candidate should have previous capital equipment sales experience or experience within Waste Industry.

1.Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to increase revenue and expand market share.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing accounts while aggressively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Promote Thompson products in waste, recycling, scrap, and the compartment industry.

2. Role Responsibilities

  • Present, promote, and sell products to prospective and existing customers.
  • Generating new sales leads and converts them into clients through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and social selling.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by providing excellent service and support.
  • Answer client questions about product specifications, pricing, and availability.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of sale to finalize agreements and close deals.
  • Keep detailed records of all sales activities and customer interactions in a CRM system. Maintain CRM data integrity and use analytics to drive strategy, proficiency with salesforce is desirable.
  • Communicate and coordinate delivery dates with the logistics department and customers.

3. Requirements

  • Proven experience meeting or exceeding sales quotas as a Sales Representative.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients quickly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM software, preferably SalesForce.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional customers, customers will be assigned based on size and total account potential.
  • Deliver excellent post-sale support in coordination with operations and logistics teams.
  • Use feedback to relay product improvement ideas to engineering/manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics.

4. Market Intelligence

  • Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and relay critical insights to leadership.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and high product quality.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities.
